Setting Up Outlook for MAC

  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.

  2. In the Accounts list, select E-mail.

  3. Click on the New Account button.

  4. Type in a name for the account: username@yourdomain.com.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Type your real name as you'd like it to appear on the Internet in the Full name field.

  7. Type your email address in the E-mail address field.

  8. In the SMTP Server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.

  9. In the account name field, enter the first half of your email address.

  10. In the POP Server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.

    NOTE: You can save your mail password if you like, but be forewarned that anyone with access to your computer and your Teleport dialup account will be able to access your email if you save your password.

  11. In the Account Name field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.


Checking Your E-Mail

  1. Go to your Mail/Connect Now menu.You will see the "Connect Now Setup" screen.

  2. Click Connect to have Claris Emailer retrieve your mail. When it does, you will see the E-mail Browser screen.

  3. To read a message, simply double click the one you want to read.


Sending E-mail

  1. 1. Go to the Mail/New pull-down menu. You will see the "outboox" screen.

  2. Type the subject of your message in the Subject field located at the top of the screen.

  3. Fill in the Recipient field with the name of the person you wish to email.

  4. Enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to e-mail in the Address field.

  5. Write your message in the large space provided.

  6. When done, click the Send Now button at the top of the screen.
