Setting Up Claris
Keep in mind that Teleport does not support Claris E-mailer. This document is provided only to offer users of E-mailer a way to configure the program to receive e-mail from their Teleport accounts.
- Run Claris E-mailer by double clicking the program icon.
- Go to the Setup pull-down menu and choose Internet Setup. You will see the "Internet Service Entry" screen.
- Enter the following information:
Account Name - Enter your username in all lower case.
User Name - Enter your username which can be the same as the Account Name.
Email Address - Enter your e-mail address like: username@yourdomain.com.
Email Account - Enter your e-mail account like: username@mail.yourdomain.com.
Email Password - Enter your password.
SMTP host - Enter your ISP's Smtp-server.
- Click Save.
Checking Your E-Mail
- Go to your Mail/Connect Now menu. You will see the "Connect Now Setup" screen.
- Click Connect to have Claris Emailer retrieve your mail. When it does, you will see the E-mail Browser screen.
- To read a message, simply double click the one you want to read.
Sending E-mail
- Go to the Mail/New pull-down menu. You will see the "Outbox" screen.
- Type the subject of your message in the Subject field located at the top of the screen.
- Fill in the Recipient field with the name of the person you wish to email.
- Enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to e-mail in the Address field.
- Write your message in the large space provided.
- When done, click the Send Now button at the top of the screen.
